Nice to meet you! My name is Liliya and I’m the lady behind Lilava Art.
Born in Siberia, I grew up surrounded by fascinating nature, where I cultivated an interest in art and wildlife during my childhood. I finished art school in my home city, where I explored watercolor, gouache and mixed media.
Today I live in beautiful British Columbia where I derive much of my inspiration. The human-nature relationship is what I enjoy most in life. That is why I often use themes of nature, child and faith in my art. My paintings are natural and peaceful.
I use a well-defined palette of natural watercolors as opposed to synthetic dyes which are used for other mediums. I find my pieces sensual with depth and positive emotions.
I live in Vancouver, BC with my two children.
